Recent years have brought many rapid and dramatic changes in stroke care. The formerly nihilistic view of stroke patient management has given way to an aggressive and organized approach to minimizing deficits, preventing complications, and facilitating function.
The overall mission of the Center is to evaluate individual and environmental factors that govern the success of rehabilitation and to develop and evaluate methods to enhance the quality of life of stroke survivors.
